Pulse-wave assessment

Measures
Pulse waves, beat-to-beat variation and related autonomic indicators.
Clinical use
Measurements are reviewed alongside sleep, lifestyle and symptom history.

Not a routine or mandatory additional test in the Constitution & Wellbeing Program. The clinician may use it selectively if fNIRS measurement is difficult or equipment is unavailable. Results alone do not establish an autonomic nervous system diagnosis.

fNIRS brain assessment

Measures
fNIRS task-related brain activity and persistence; separate HRV outputs and psychological questionnaires in the Mind Speak system.
Clinical use
Near-infrared measurements provide information to consider alongside a clinical history.

The Constitution & Wellbeing Program uses fNIRS as its standard assessment after suitability is checked. HRV assesses beat-to-beat variability separately from optical fNIRS data. Questionnaire scores reflect reported symptoms. Results alone do not determine constitution or diagnose disease.

Body composition analysis

Measures
Body fat, skeletal muscle, segmental lean mass, BMI and estimated basal metabolic rate.
Clinical use
Measurements can inform nutrition, activity and weight-management discussions.

Meals, exercise and hydration can affect results.

ALPINION · X-CUBE 70

ALPINION · X-CUBE 70

Ultrasound examination

Measures
Selected muscles, tendons, ligaments, tissues around joints and internal organs.
Clinical use
The ALPINION X-CUBE 70 provides real-time ultrasound images to assess tissue structure. Findings are reviewed alongside symptoms, medical history and physical examination to guide treatment and lifestyle advice.

The area and scope depend on clinical need and available transducers. Ultrasound cannot identify every condition; further testing or specialist assessment may be recommended.
